The Mastering En-ROADS Training Series empowers participants to become climate leaders who can spark meaningful conversations about climate change solutions. Through short video explanations, engaging activities, and a vibrant international community, this program trains learners around the world to become En-ROADS facilitators. The facilitator network currently comprises of over 2,000 facilitators in 131 countries who have facilitated climate solutions events to nearly 300,000 participants. The training series fosters skill building to deliver impactful, hopeful experiences grounded in the best available science and engage hearts and minds towards climate action. The training as well as events are based around the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator, a freely-available online simulator that provides policymakers, educators, businesses, the media, and the public with the ability to test and explore cross-sector climate solutions.
Developed by our team at Climate Interactive, alongside the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative and Ventana Systems, En-ROADS is a system dynamics model carefully grounded in the best available science, and has been calibrated against a wide range of existing integrated assessment, climate, and energy models. En-ROADS runs on an ordinary laptop in a fraction of a second, is freely available online, offers an intuitive user-friendly interface, and is available in over a dozen languages. The accessibility and reputability of the tool, along with the extensive support and training offered by our team, allows for widespread increase of public awareness on climate change, the dissemination of science-based information and data, communication of climate threats, opportunities, and solutions, and triggers action and next steps for those undergoing our training series or in attendance of a game or workshop.
