Cyan tells the tale of climate change through the lens of dizainic poetry

Paris | Started on 9/3/2023

Cyan is a body of work that contains three dizains (ten line poem) and tells of the consequences of climate change in a bid to spur climate action and also as a deterrence to the pollution culture. These poems are written in a style so fluid, it seeps at the borderline of poetry and music.

The work pays attention to form by honouring the French style of dizains with an ababbccdcd rhyme scheme consistent throughout this body of work.Cyan is a colour derived from a mixture of green (a symbolism of earth) and blue (symbolism of water and sky). These elements are symbolic of life on earth. The Poets message is unequivocal, “save the earth.”
