A comics book in full colours to explain climate change to young peolple. What are the climate risks we face in the very near future? If the Paris Agreement is not adhered to soon, we can expect a global temperature increase of up to 5 degrees by the end of the century, more African heat waves, desertification and drought, forest fires, extreme events, floods, more frequent storms and a sea level rise of more than 1 metre. The opportunity to reduce the damage still exists, but requires a rapid and massive effort. Luca Mercalli, a researcher and disseminator of environmental issues with more than 30 years of experience, accompanies young Gaia on a comic strip journey into the future, to understand what problems we will have to face and how to solve them.
